yeah, that's it i think:) so how valid is that rumour? any chance we'll see Owen in JEF? According to some other j-fans ( like Matsu), yahoo! sucks and we shouldn't take anything seriously that comes from that end....but i don't know, of course there is a possibility at least..

Man U is bidding for Owen too, allegedly, and he and Newcastle finished overall well. I doubt he will leave England before the summer of 2010. Anyway, considered his fragility, I don't think he'll be a great asset, just as I think that if he moves abroad he won't go with the bottom Japanese team.

In the meantime more names for Sanga: Andre' (a return), Araujo and Alex Mineiro.

I'd just like to put on record that if Owen was to ever come to Japan, and sign for a team in the relegation zone, I will climb Mount Fuji naked.

    I don't think Owen moves to J-League.
    But JEF is changing. :)
They aren't a poor club anymore since JR East, the largest passenger railway company in the world took over the ownership last month.

    Re: Official 2008 J1 Thread [R]

Juve offered to Nedved one more year but a reduction from 4.8m Euro to 2.5m Euro. He'll decide next week.

If he doesn't take that and goes to Japan it has to be for a significantly higher salary.

2.5m Euro is more than 400.000.000m Yen.

(Besides the fact that he'd probably find a lot of clubs in Europe offering 3, perhaps even 4m...)

I mean, maybe a Japanese team can make an offer for Cafu, Birindelli, Toldo... Nedved is still a top player.

    Nedved just accepted Juve's offer.
He has extended his contract for one more year.

Not heard that, and would be very surprised if it happened. Where did you hear it?

I can hear a lot of people screaming "KARMA!" now that we got screwed over by the ref for Yamazaki's goal.

Edmilson and Takahara are looking as impotent as ever. :(

Thanks Marinos, thanks for scoring a goal for us.
On our own, we have scored ONE in the last six games, and it was scored by a midfielder (Ataliba).

    Ah, oxygen...
