Even though Hugo Viana had just been voted the best young player in Europe, few in England had heard of the Portugal international when he arrived at Newcastle for £8.5 million this summer. Sir Bobby Robson, though, is convinced that very soon the gifted midfielder will be a household name...

Anyone with any thoughts as to how Viana fits into a best-case lineup, where everybody is healthy?

If Viana shines on the left (assuming he plays there in Robert's absence), he'll be hard to displace from the lineup upon Laurent's return... I wonder if he'd be inserted into the midfield, possibly displacing Gary Speed (also now injured).

Should be very interesting to see how the young Portuguese player turns out.
