Continue here.

Seems as though Pantelic and Hertha will not be agreeing on a new contract. Favre and Hoeness really doesn't seem to like him even though he's scored and assisted on half of our goals

I was not being sarcastic at all about the Serbian League. I respect it. I think it is pretty good.

Too lazy to quote the other thread, so some comments to the last posts:

@footyfan: Yes, Hamburg was the slightly better side and if Olic had converted the penalty, it would have been a somewhat deserved win.

@TOLH: Pisczcek is lacking precision, but he's reading the game well, much better than Ebert or Lima. He is also much more determined to actually get into the penalty area and maybe score. He certainly has the mental abilities to become a quality player. He still has to develop his footballing skills though, but that's so much easier than the other way around.

He's also been called up to the preliminary EC squad of Poland.

I agree about Kacar being a potent talent, he however needs to cut down on his overaggressive tackles and actually convert some of the chances.

@serbov: You're right unfortunately. Simunic has the skills to be a great defender and in many matches this season he actually was. His dreaded blackouts are however something he probably can't get rid of anymore and they did cost a number of points this season. His replacement has already arrived though: Steve von Bergen. He had a somewhat poor first leg, but has been fantastic in the second leg matches he played.

Personally I hope Joe will play a good EC so we can unload him to some EPL club. Unfortunately a move of Arne Friedrich to Italy seems likely at the moment and loosing both of them might prove fatal. Even the experienced SvB required half a season to adjust, coming from the comparatively decent league in Switzerland and having played under Favre for years. Imagine how difficult it would be for someone not knowing the coach and coming from a substandard league. That someone would also have to be a starter..desaster waiting around the corner.

Well we could get some Bundesliga experience by getting Tim Sebastian and Lukas Sinkiewicz...

Dude, I guess you haven't been following Bundesliga news. Tim Sebastian has signed with KSC for next season and Leverkusen isn't giving up Lukas Sinkiewicz. He has a future there.

Right forgot about Sebastian. Didnt' think Sinkiewicz had a future because of haggui and M. Friedrich...guess that means that the one frozen out is Callsen-Bracker?

I don't think either of these players has the potential to replace an in form Friedrich or Simunic.

In other news: According to some albeit not exactly reliable press news, talks with the Tunisian striker Chermiti are coming to a close. I've seen him at the Africa Cup and the CAF CL final, I'm having my doubts if he can replace Pantelic, whose leave seems inevitable unfortunately.

Buy Marko Basa. Although it seems that those from LeMans are tough negotiators . They turned down the offer of Borussia.
