Default Message for Shea Salinas: Really, It's Ok

Apparently, the kid is dejected from the monumental miss yesterday. Sh--t! I would be too if I were in his shoes! I'm sure the rest of the team were too (after all, that's not the only miss of the match---what, about 19 shots taken yesterday?).

But listen up, Kid. And listen well: It's your rookie year. Some of us fans are saying, you could have made that shot---rookie or not, this was supposed to be your time to separate yourself among your peers of rookies in the league. But guess what? Sh--t happens!

I hope you get some sleep and put this behind you. I'm sure you'll make those shots next time.

And if you didn't? Well, we'll cross the bridge when we get there.

OK, sorry. Go Shea Go! Try to forget about missing that sitter and move on to better things.

Wasn't any worse than Donovan's miss today. Okay, maybe a little...

I think most people saw what he brought to the game other than the miss. With those tools, he'll be fine.

i agree. like i posted elsewhere, shea has shown he's got massive talent potential. we're giving you the benefit of a doubt, mr. salinas, and that's something not every club fan base does with a cock-up like this one.

yeah, that was bad, but oh well, it happens to the best of players, and to be honest, you weren't the only one who missed a goal opportunity yesterday.

as long as this doesn't become a regular occurrence (aka 3 times a season), you still have my/our support. we saw you play solidly the rest of the game, we know you're just starting out here and we've heard all the good buzz from your college playing years. the season is young and so are you, so use this time wisely to win us over.

for the love of god, please!!

I really, really hope that he actually does not need the love-in of the fans to help get him over what was a monumental, ludicrous, "geometrically impossible" (his words) miss. I'd like to see him livid, not sad. Get that mild psycho revenge feeling going and then ram three down someone's throat next game.
