The article in the OP was posted on CF's blog, but let the games begin.... Bring it, bitches. It's gonna be a long sad bus ride home.
If they think, even for an instant, that they can turn CCS into a home game, they are out of their ********ing minds. What are we, Bartles and James?
They'll be good and drunk. They'll be pre-gaming it at The Plugged Nickel which furthers that long and miserable drive home after a loss ( a headache AND a sore ass ). Enjoy yourselves, Loonies! What's all the fuss aboot, eh?
Filling 10% of an opposing teams stadium does not a home game make. I guess the math skills up north have not caught up with the times. Simply counting beaver pelts does not adequatley prepare you for figuring out percentages.
Well, that's what happens when you try to convert into TFC fans using the metric system. Don't worry, they probably won't make it in time for the game trying to go 65 kph from Buffalo.
With all the masturbation going on up there, you'd think they would be getting a little bit sore by now.
All 2,200 broke your flag? Do not paint an entire group with one brush, it would be a sad mistake to make. There are bad seeds in all groups, including our own.
We're just excited is all. Yes we'll be drunk and happy, and many of us are staying over the night to party it up with y'all. Hopefully I'll see you down there again Mike.
I for one am looking forward to their arrival. I like 'em, they know their soccer and know how to knock back the beers, albeit molson or labatts. The Toronto game could well be: a. the best atmosphere of the season b. the best craic (for our oirish friends) of the season and c. the only crew win of the season EDIT: Did Brett Kessler in the FO organize the post game party in the end? Is it still in that soccer bar on front?
Well that does bring up an iteresting question "How many TFC fans does it take to break a window flag" I thought the answer was something in the neighborhood of 50. 1 to hold the flag and 49 to pick up the car and shake it until the flag breaks. So the other 2150 are off the hook
So my question is: Why are they called "Canadians"? Shouldn't residents of Canada be called "Canadans"? I mean, residents of Germany aren't called "Germanians" My conclusion is that, in reality, their country is "Canadia" Maybe it's because 98% of them are alcoholics and have trouble spelling. Doesn't really matter though, since everyone knows that it's all just another way of saying the more politically correct term: "Canadian-Americans". I'm looking for a new avatar, so let me ask you guys: what do you think of this:
I can't wait for the game. The longest week of my life is about to begin. BUt the best part is, when it's finally over and they have to drive all 2000 of their broken little hearts home, we won't have to hear for the billionth time how many fucking fans they're bringing. Think of it: I can't remember two consecutive days without hearing sounds of two thousand man circle jerk coming down from the north.
I think it'll be more fun with them there then it would be without them there. It should create a fairly unique atmosphere for the Crew, something similar to the US/Mexico games at CCS, only with fewer foreigners. I've got to believe that the presence of 2000 away fans will do just as much to pump up the Crew as it would the FCs. Here's to hoping everyone in the stands behaves. The only thing that the TFC fans might possibly do which would annoy me is throw those streamers on the pitch. I'm not a fan of the throwing of stuff. As for the game, it should at the very least be a hard fought encounter, as both teams want to shake off last year. Prediction: A 2-2 draw which in the end has absolutely no effect on the playoff picture of either team come the end of the season.
James looked good in that game. It didn't seem like James took a lot of contact, but there wasn't much indecision about taking him out. Substitute Pat Phelan went into his tackles too hard for my taste, the Crew need to be careful that he doesn't hurt someone. Frankie will be impressed by his play, I suspect.
