This was posted on the BWFC.co.uk message board and I think it's a great idea. Too often the Whites get written off because we're unfashionable and most people have no real clue about us ("Bolton? Doesn't Jay Jay Okocha and John McGinlay play for them?")

Hello all,

Even before Mark Lawrenson opened his big gub and shot himself in the 'tache I've been a little paranoid about how Bolton Wanderers are portrayed by the media.

Either seen as a band of over the hill mercenaries or not seen at all the press have had us relegated every season since we came up. And already William Hills, Ceefax and The Observer have us down to finish bottom. Bottom!!! With Jay-Jay, Youri, Spiros, Jardel and Henrik (well maybe not Henrik) they still have us doomed.. And that's before Rodney Marsh starts.

So your mission Wanderers fans is as follows. If you see, hear or even suspect anyone of dogging the Trotters without due cause, e-mail me and let me know.

Because I'm making a list and that's why some members of the beloved British Press/TV/Radio insititutions are getting this e-mail as well. The gloves are off boys and girls! Cross the Superwhites and you'll know about it come the last day of the season as you make the Trotters Independent Trader 'Hall of Shame'. There may even be a prize for the most out of touch correspondent.

You know Prenn at first I wondered if you weren't just a little paranoid but since I've been following Bolton news on the net there definitely is a bias. Writers describing similar moves at two different clubs invariably use much more negative and dismissive terms in regard to the Wanderers. And there are a lot of people figuring Bolton for the drop but that just shows they don't really pay any attention to the League.
