Who is the best young wide player?
I am looking for people's top 5 lists of wide attacking players left or right that can play as the wide midfielder in a 4-4-2 or as the attacking wide players in a 4-3-3. Not neccessarily people who can play both, but either. Also all the players have to be currently 23 years old or younger, and cannot play in the English Premier League?
Does David Silva make the top list for anybody?
Please indicate which is the players preferred foot.

Re: Who is the best young wide player?
Your specs cut out quite a few good ones. Quaresma, Robben and Ribery come to mind, but they are 24.
1) Lionel Messi - Barcelona - Left
2) David Silva - Valencia - Left
3) Aiden McGeady - Celtic - Right
4) Jesús Navas - Sevilla - Right
5) Valon Behrami - Lazio - Right

This task is more difficult than I had anticipated because the vast majority of the players who I rate in this position are 24 years old or play in the Premiership and are therefore ineligible (like the trio above). Of the rest I cannot make any honest claim as to their current form because work has limited my football viewing since January. Regardless, here is my opening list of top 5 wide players under the conditions specified:
#1. Lionel Messi - Barcelona/Agentina - right
#2. David Silva - Valencia/Spain - left
#3. Andrés Guardado - Deportivo/Mexico - left
#4. Aiden McGeady - Celtic/Ireland ( ) - right
#5. Roberto Hilbert - Stuttgart/Germany - right
Others like Luis Jiménez, Piotr Trochowski and Hatem Ben Arfa miss out. The problem is that the conditions set rule out most of the best currently playing and leave a lot of younger kids that have barely proven themselves.

I didn't understand can't play in the English Premiership; in that case:
01. Lionel Messi (20) (Argentina & Barcelona) - Right
02. Jefferson Farfán (23) (Peru & PSV Eindhoven) - Left
03. David Silva (22) (Spain & Valencia) - Left
04. Bastian Schweinsteiger (23) (Germany & Bayern Münich) - Left
05. Gonzalo Higuaín (20) (Argentina & Real Madrid) - Right
I think another difficulty is the consideration about a "wide player" for me, I don't consider Pato as it for example, and I'm not sure about Farfán although obviously I see almost all his matches, or Higuaín. Maybe could be Hatem Ben Arfa (21), Aiden McGeady (21), Damián Ísmodes (18), Alexis Sánchez (19) or Piotr Trochowski (23).

Re: Who is the best young wide player?
Schweinsteiger? Seriously? That 3rd place match was almost two years ago.
Here's my take:
1. Lionel Messi (Argentina & Barcelona) Right
2. David Silva (Spain & Valencia) Left
3. Roberto Hilbert (Germany & VfB Stuttgart) Right
4. Hatem Ben Arfa (France & Lyon) Left
5. Toni Kroos (Germany & Bayern Munich) Right or Left

Gonzalo Higuain is not really a wide player. Madrid play him there sometimes out of position and he sucks there.
Alexis Sanchez (River Plate) is a good call, as is Matias Fernandez (Villarreal), Jesus Navas (Sevilla), Pablo Piatti (Estudiantes LP), Carlos Vela (Osasuna).
Mata (Valencia) has also impressed me recently and Diego Capel(Sevilla).

Piatti plays wide left and/or support striker. He's awesome. One of the best young players right now not playing in Europe.
