Tschüss Eugen, mach's gut! What a shame that one of the most promising Borussia talents will leave us after this season. His contract won't get extended, what is a mistake in my eyes (reminds me of Jan Schlaudraff) ... since Pauuwe is already 32 and Svard very injury-prone.

About 45,000 - 50,000 fans are expected at Borussia-Park for the home match against St. Pauli on Sunday! I'm sure that Pauli will bring at least 5,000 supporters to M'gladbach (and not 2,500 ... how mentioned in the article).

Es wird voll am Sonntag

Das Spiel gegen den FC St. Pauli am Sonntag (Anstoß: 14 Uhr) lockt viele Fußballfans in den BORUSSIA-PARK. Über 44.000 Karten sind bereits verkauft.

"The team has a face again"

Borussia have fielded an unchanged side for two games in a row. But Jos Luhukay has not said whether this will be the case again against St Pauli on Sunday.

I expect a very tough home game on Sunday, since St. Pauli is only 3 points away from a relegation spot and will surely give us a hell of a fight! Nearby they played very well against all top teams so far.
I like the guys from Millerntor, but we simply need all 3 points in view of the very difficult away derby we are facing in Aachen! After this match, I'll keep my fingers crossed for St. Pauli in every game.

Gute N8

PS: The St. Pauli & former Borussia (amateurs) striker Renè Schnitzler seems to be top motivated to score against us, after Luhukay refused to give him a contract for this season.

Let's hope he'll be as successful as he had been in the first leg game at Millerntor. :-)

Mission accomplished (against an expected strong St. Pauli team) in front of a 48,000 audience ... so the DERBY against Aachen can come (Patrick Paauwe will have to miss it due to suspension, though)!

1:0-Sieg gegen St. Pauli

Nach gut einer Stunde erlöste Rob Friend die Borussen-Anhänger mit dem Tor des Tages gegen den FC St. Pauli. Das war der Lohn für eine überlegen geführte Partie.

Touma assisted the 1:0 and missed 2 good chances to score. I'm glad as well to see him finally reach his potential!

Btw: Here's the match report in English for you.

16.03.2008
Borussia 1-0 St Pauli

Rob Friend grabbed the only goal of the game against FC St Pauli just after the hour mark, much to the relief of the Borussia fans. And it was just reward for a dominant performance.
