In your honest opinion, who is the most decorated player of all time?

Solely off the top of my head,

Domestic level

Off the top of my head, Pele, Cruyff, Giggs, Eusebio, Di Stefano

European Cup

Gento, Di Stefano (and anyone else who played for Real in the 1950s), Maldini, Cruyff, Beckenbauer, Seedorf, Baresi

International level

Pele, Garrincha, Zagallo, Matthaus (played most world cup games if that counts for anything)

Overall

Hmm, I don't think anyone will be able to trump Pele or Beckenbauer overall


It's a very small list and I'm sure others will think of a lot more but this is the best I can come up with at the moment.

Lets see what he won, Won WC of 98', won fifa player of the year 3 times was it? Won euro 2000', won european footballer of the year in 98',he won the intertoto cup, won 2 scudettos with Juve', Intercontinetal cup with them too, over River Plate. Won CL with Real Madrid, Won Euro Supercup with them too, won spanish super cup.

And not to mention all the times he took all his teams really close to finals like his brilliance he showed in the last world cup.

Not even close. His major honours amount to 1 World Cup, 1 European Championship, 1 Champions League and 3 League Titles.

Beckenbauer can match that just using 1972-1974.

I'm not going to look through the full list, but I remember the main players being Beckenbauer, Pele, Di Stefano, Dalglish, Gento and Cafu.
