Default Matchday 22: Werder - Dortmund [R]

Date: 01.03.08 (first of March)
Time: 3:30 PM CET
Venue: Weserstadion (Bremen)

This (calendar) year we haven't got the results in some matches,
but the performance from the team was always good in most of them.
So this time i hope for a good match by both teams and a home win.

Our teams seem to be walking the same plane in some ways. Especially in inconsistency.

I also hope for a good match from both teams, but of course, I'm hoping for the away victory......

2-0 win. At last.
Rosenberg and Hunt were very good.

So was Merk. At least for you guys......

But, you guys were better. However, BVB's worst enemy today was our own coach.

Congrats. I may be pissed at Merk, but you guys deserved to win.

Yeah, our first goal was definitely offside.
But the decision on your irregular goal was correct in my opinion, because Naldo would easily have cleared the situation, if Petric hadn´t fouled him.

I wasn't complaining about that. We couldn't buy a call from that jerk today.

Deserved win for us, but how it happened was lucky.

Dortmund was more dangerous in first half,
but suffered under a dissallowed goal
(because Owomoyela was fouled before) and
later under a great save by Wiese against Petric.
The 1-0 was offside as already written by you lads.
It was hard for referee Merk, that everyone could see
it on the video screen. But it´s good, that Merk said
after the match, that a video proof is needed for such sceens.
He ´s the first German referee giving a statement to this topic.

After the half Werder was better and created many chances,
while Dortmund didn´t have many offensive sceens.
I agree with you, footie, that it has to do with the Kouba substitutions.
Furthermore the sub-in for Aaron Hunt played a role IMO,
because he brought more structure in our midfield.
