Say what you want about Paul but the bottom line is that he's been one of the best english midfielders for years. It's great to see him playing with spark again in what could be a tremendous season.

He's had his up's and downs when he was playing football with the Gunners and for England but, I still think next to Gazza, and Redknapp...Merson is one of the best English free thinking midfielders in the game today.
