Arrow Ipswich Town vs Blackpool match thread

Tomorrow Blackpool trvel down to Suffolk to take on The Tractors Boys.

Ipswich home record:

Played: 16
Won: 11
Drawn: 4
Lost: 1

And the one defeat came last week, their first home loss all season. Ouch!

A draw tomorrow would be a superb result for the 'Pool.

Their top scorer is Jon Walters with 11. Both Pablo Couņago and Alan Lee have 10 goals. Ipswich lie in 6th place at present in the final play-off spot and their stadium, Portman Road is more or less a Premiership stadium. And it is another place that Blackpool haven't been to for a long time - 37 years to be precise. That alone should mean a decent away following from the Tangerine Army tomorrow.

I just hope we get a draw out of the game!

Help!

Left Back Stephen Crainey has missed the match through injury, add to that the fact that Kaspars Gorkss is out suspended.

In came John Hills for Crainey.

So it is not eve half-time yet and already we have lost both centre-halfs through injury.

Ian Evatt limped off first and was replaced by Danny Coid. Then Michael Jackson a few minutes later with what is said to be a hamstring injury and was replaced by midfielder Stuart Green, with Keith Southern apparently moving to defence.

Add to that Ipswich have hit the bar, had a shot cleared off the line and a shot just tipped round the post and things aren't looking promisng for the rest of the match.

Final score was Ipswich 2 Blackpool 1 with Paul Dickov getting his 4th goal in 4 matches for us.

From what has been said though it could have been a lot worse. Especially as we lost 3 of our 4 defenders (Crainey before the match and then Evatt and Jackson in the first half) coupled with Gorkss being suspended. We were never expected to get anything out of the game though really.

Anyway just the small matter of Charlton Athletic at home next Saturday now!
