Default Mackem Doctors, how many does it take to deliver a baby?

A U.K. hospital told an expectant mother she had miscarried at eight weeks, but a scan of the woman's womb a month later revealed she still was pregnant, The Daily Mail reported.

Catherine Kent, 27, and her partner, Kevin Gray, 28, were devastated when they were told she had miscarried. Kent was offered an abortion or pills to shorten the length of the miscarriage. She refused, opting to allow the fetus to pass naturally, according to the report.

Although the couple was delighted to find out the baby still was alive, they were furious that the Sunderland Royal Hospital had made a mistake that had caused them so much grief.

"What if I had taken the tablets they offered me?" Kent told the Daily Mail. "They could have left my baby severely disabled, or it could have died. They could've aborted my baby while it was alive. How can the hospital make a mistake like that? How many other people have taken the tablets or had an abortion when their baby was alive all the time?"

The baby girl is due June 28, but Kent worries how the traumatic experience might affect the fetus. "I still haven't bought anything for the baby. I can't rest until she's here and I know she's 100 percent fine," she told the Daily Mail.
