Gotta love the passion and electric atmosphere in Argentina. What do think of the Apertura so far? What's up with Rosario Central? They and Menoti are on fire. FSW also shows the Argentine Futbol Highlights Show on Tuesdays at 11pm EST (10pm CST).

BTW Independiente vs Racing next Sunday. That's going to be a good superclassico.

I love Argentine football as well. They have some of the most passionate fans in the world and obviously some incredible rivalries.

Rosario's suprising early on but they did beat a few of the weaker teams. It'll be interesting how long they can keep their form up.

I love watching argieball on FSW, but unfortunately my espaniol isn't good enough to understand alot of the commentary. What I've found very suprising is that even though most of the big money players have defected, the quality of play is still good. River blasted Colon today w/ a bunch of kiddies. Granted River has dropped considerably since last season, they can still put on a good show.

Boca, my favorite primera team, looked dominant last wk & I'm sure is off to the start of yet another apetura(sp) caliente.

Seems like the powers on FSW are trying to switch around game and program schedules too much.

One of my favorite leagues to watch. And River "blasted" Colon today? 1-0 and they had 10 men most of the match. They were lucky to get out with the win.

Seems like one of the unexpected teams always makes a run at the title. Last time it was Gimnasia. The two times before that Racing and San Lo came away winners.

River hit the post twice, just missed on a freekick, and blew a wide open chance late in the match. They dominated the midfield and colon took created few chances. The score should have been 3:0, but sometimes the scoreline doesn't always reflect the way a game was played. For example Atlas took Necaxa behind the shed and nursed a 3:1 lead until Nec got a trash time goal. Noone would say nec did anything to deserve winning that pathetic showing.

And considered that River played the last 3 matches with players suspended or injured. In this game D'Alessandro (showing his age of maturity) refused to leave the pitch after picking up a hamstring. Plus in futbol the ten with 10 players seems (sometimes) to play better than the team with 11.

What happened to River Plate's coach Ramon Diaz from last year? Was he fired? Why? Was it because of the poor showing in the Copa Libertadores? BTW, does anybody know a good website where I can find the Argetinian standings -- I don't care if it's in English or Spanish.
