reyering was good in college but blew out his knee mid-season. coming back from that is tough, being as tall as he is and rehabbing is much tougher.

Agreed. This pretty much sums it up.

I'm just excited to find out who will be on the roster. We ought to be able to get at least three guys for the Dev Roster here. We might even get someone who sticks on the Senior Roster!

We should also be able to sign one or two players from overseas. Then, there are trades, and I believe we have first dibs on any players coming out of the USL, and of course, we've had our local open tryouts which were reportedly better than expected! (Maybe we add two - three Dev players from there.)

I actually think our current roster could get us to the playoffs with just a shake of luck and ...gulp... no injuries!

Hey - it's January. I'll be optimistic if I wanna be!

I didn't mean it as a consciously lazy decision, but rather putting their eggs in the wrong basket.

Snide Re: 2008 MLS Supplemental Draft [R]

In order of wanting-ness
1. Xavier Balc- "his mom" sure got me sold
2. Yannick Reyering- German Giant would be a stud for FK's and corners.
3. El Hadj Cisse- Supposedly alright player. Tall-ish, good-ish.
4. Saidi Isaac- scored a good amount of goals, not sure of abilities.

IMO, anyone that is not a forward would be unacceptable.
