Default Blackpool vs Ipswich Town match thread

What

Ipswich Town visit Blackpool in a Football League Championship match.

When

Saturday 19 January at 3:00 P.M (UTC).

TV/Video

No coverage on Sky Sports other than the usual goals highlights which will appear at some point on Sky Sports and on ITV's The Championship programme.

Radio/Audio

This game will probably be covered by BBC Radio Lancashire, though not available online as they don't allow access to the station during match coverage. The official Tangerine World subscription site will have online radio coverage. It might be worth checking if any Ipswich area radio stations cover the match online. BBC Radio Suffolk is here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/suffolk/local_radio/

Build up!
Blackpool will be looking to bounce back after last weekends 4-1 drubbing at Charlton. Blackpool are currently in 16th place on 33 points and Ipswich, who have a very poor away record, are in 7th place, just outside the Play-Off places on 40 points. Again it shows just how close this league is this season, as a win tomorrow would see Blackpool then only 4 points behind Ipswich.

This is Ipswich Towns first league visit to Bloomfield Road since 1970 when they won 2-0. Ipswich have failed to win away from home this season, and have drawn four away games, losing all other away games. They haven't won an away match since March. And they have so far relied on their impressive home form, where they are unbeaten at Portman Road. Hopefully that will continue tomorrow! Ipswich are also the only team Blackpool have yet to play this season.

Only Keith Southern, out with long term injury is unavailable for selection tomorrow, with new signing Stephen McPhee looking to make his home debut having come on in the second half at Charlton. Ipswich will be without Welsh international Gavin Williams who has been out for a few weeks with a thigh injury. Top scorer Pablo Counago and youngster Danny Haynes will be part of the squad travelling up to Bloomfield Road.

Just to add to the above, tomorrows match is heading for yet another (home) sell out crowd again with less than 50 tickets for home fans left on sale this afternoon. No idea how many Ipswich will be bringing, it is a long drive up from Suffolk, but with this being their first league visit to Blackpool it might bring a few more of the Tractor Boys fans up!

Any news on Paul Dalglish's trial with Ipswich in the last week or so?? It would be funny (strange) if he is there with the team tomorrow...
