Goal King Cole
Don't even know where to put it, but I think our boy is massively underrated. One of the Prem's best goal scorers ever, 2nd all time after old Shearer I believe, and he scored nearly a hundred goals for us. GOAL KING COLE!

Not quite sure on this, but if you discount penalties, didn't he have a better goals scored per game ratio than Shearer?

Re: Goal King Cole
I've heard that as well.
I just don't know why, but the English love harping on about the 1 or 2 trophy winner Shearer, when Cole has/had just as an impressive career. Maybe Cole didn't do it for England, but on a club level Cole's trophies and contributions shit all over Shearer.

Re: Goal King Cole
Obviously Shearer made the better decison. He wanted to win trophies.
Shearer - 1 Prem
Cole - 5 Prems, 2 FA Cups, 1 European Cup, 1 International Cup, 2 Charity Shields, and a League Cup
Yup Shearer made the better decision.

Re: Goal King Cole
I found Cole very frustrating the few years with us. He was slow to start and a bit inconsistant. But by 1999 he was truely at his peak especially when he and Yorke had a great understanding between them.

Re: Goal King Cole
His whole time at United he was at best our third best striker. His goals to shots ratio has to be like 3%.
