Thumbs up More good news!

Thr third time was the charm on our bids to Ipswich for Gaardsoe. No club has ever had a 100% success rate in the transfer market; but when Megson has the full backing of the club, Albion are often like the Canadian Mounties: they always get their man.

Critics cite Albion's standing still in the transfer market lat year (and tight rein on the budget) for their lack of success in the Premiership. Well, being thrifty last year has paid off this year - the Baggies have signed a new striker, two new midfielders and one new defender (and hopefully two).

Now hopefully we can come to an agreement with Gaardsoe on terms.

Smile

And reports are in that Gaardsoe has agreed to personal terms...

Albion really moved quickly from having their second bid turned down to having him practically signed on!

I forgot to mention before, the fact that we were able to sign a player so quickly from a promotion rival such as Ipswich Town is testament to Albion's wise business practices.

( And, unfortunately, a statement about Town's... )
