Arrow Simon Grayson signs new contract

Today Blackpool manager Simon Grayson signed a new contract that will keep him at Bloomfield Road until 2010, with an option for the club to extend the contract by another year.

Grayson said about the signing, that he is pleased and that it has not been top of his agenda in the past few months as he has been concentrating on the team. And that he has had lengthy conversations with club Chairman, Karl Oyston and President Valery Belokon and got round to getting a few things agreed.

Great news, always good to settle these kind of things. Now the 'Pool needs some points and move up in the standings.

In 2010, Dom will head there and Simon will come to Houston. It's all so clear now.

Just need to get Wes sorted now. Assorted paper talk about Sheff Utd being after him.

Would be a tough hole to fill.

I read about that. Apparently Sheff U is offering 500K - hard to turn down - what do you think?

I'm not so sure that Sheff Utd are a good prospect this season under Robson. Certainly don't see them going up whilst he's there. However, it ultimately will depend on how much they offer him in terms of wages.

Will be a problem if he does go as he's the creative heartbeat of the team. Ironically, he seems to have slipped under a few clubs' radar due to Pool's position in the table. However, now that we've strung a few results together I supect that we'll struggle to keep him this month.

what has wes said about playing in blackpool?
does he like it? does he seem happy?

i guess america is different because each region is so far away and so different from the others, in england, i guess that is a non factor because of the size...
never mind.
