If we just cut him I think it would be a good move...actually getting something for him makes it better.

Hopefully, they see something in the draft. Because, I thought Atiba was looking like a good off-the-bench player. To move to a 3rd round pick for him is a little bit of a reach. I guess you do get another international spot, but when we still have some open, I don't see any help there.

All I can say right now is halle-freaking-lujah!

I'm sure the move had more to do with freeing up that international slot than getting a 3rd rounder. But who knows - some good players have come from that far back. You just never know.

This move tells me one thing: That Kreis and Lager are looking at multiple international players. As you said, we already had 3 spots open. This tells me they want to sign 4 international players, hence the need for Atiba's slot. If they play their cards right, do their homework, and fill those international slots with quality players at positions RSL needs (please, don't sign another d-mid!), RSL could be sitting pretty come April.
