Thumbs up Steven Reid signs

I have a feeling he may be a barguin like Lucas Neill or Brett Emerton.

Having watched him play last night I've got to agree with the second sentence. Here's a quote from a story in a local paper:

"Nottingham Forest, an English First Division club, tied the game on a 30-foot left-footed blast by star midfielder Andy Reid that United goalkeeper Nick Rimando probably should have saved.
Nottingham Forest forward Gareth Taylor received a ball outside the 18-yard box and calmly put a short ball into space on the left for Reid. With no United players in the vicinity, Reid lashed a wicked, low-driving shot into the right corner of the net that left Rimando frozen in his tracks in the 32nd minute."

The above is from The Washington Times.

Here is The Washington Post's view of the match.

Reid was clearly the class of Forest.

And Newham Red, for you, here's a quote from The Times about Ben Olsen's good experience at Forest:
"I will say this: It was the most memorable experience in soccer I've had [playing] over there," Olsen said. "For three months, I lived soccer and I saw soccer the way it's supposed to be experienced. It was something that I'll never forget, and there's no regrets even with being out a year-and-a-half. I would never take back that experience."

I think Forrest have been asking too much for Andy Reid.

I don't know if I'd call SR a bargin at 2.5, just a smart buy.
