Default Pre-game thread Blackpool vs Cardiff City

Shamelessly stolen from the Houston Dynamo forum so my apologies for theft!!! I have no idea how to do polls though on BS so maybe someone could do a pre-game poll if not for this match then for future matches?

Here we go!! (and please excuse any mistakes I make!)

What

Blackpool play host to Cardiff City in a Football League Championship match.

When

Tuesday December 2 at 7:45 P.M.

TV/Video

No coverage on Sky Sports other than the usual goals highlights which will appear at some point on Sky Sports and on ITV's The Championship programme.

Radio/Audio

This game will probably be covered by BBC Radio Lancashire, though not available online as they don't allow access to the station during match coverage. The official Tangerine World subscription site will have online radio coverage.

History
I will for future matches give better coverage, but for now, the match sees the return of former 'Pool favourite, Trevor Sinclair. After starting his career at Blackpool in 1989, making 112 appearances for the 'Pool and scoring 12 goals, he went on to play for QPR in 1993 (168 appearances, 16 goals) , West Ham United from 1998 to 2003 (177 appearances, 37 goals) and Manchester City from 2003 to 2007 (82 appearances, 5 goals) before being transferred to Cardiff City in 2007 for whom he has now played 12 games. Now 34 Trevor is still a popular figure back at Blackpool and whould receive a warm reception from the Tangerine Army. Just hopefully he won't score!

Matches between English and Welsh clubs always have that added spice and this match will be no different. Given that it is a long distance between Cardiff and Blackpool don't expect too many Cardiff fans to turn up on a cold winters night to stand freezing their B****x off in the Gene Kelly Stand! But with the victory over arch rivals PKE at the weekend and the return of Trevor Sinclair, the home stands should be close to a sell out, even taking into account there are some big European games on TV. Of course, Cardiff also have Robbie Fowler and Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbank in their squad this season.

No Trolling. No Flaming

Please be nice and courteous. If you see a troll post, don't respond and be sure to report it. One of the mods will take care of it.

Have fun, Come on you 'Pool!!!

17 Cardiff Pld 20 W5 D8 L7 GF26 GA28 GD-2 Pts 23

18 Blackpool Pld 20 W5 D8 L7 GF22 GA26 GD-4 Pts 23

We could not be more evenly matched. I know we've struggled scoring at times (Cardiff having scored 4 more goals at this point) but our defense has come up big when we've needed them to. A win here would be huge and important for getting into playoff contention.

Any guesses as to what the starting XI will be? Anyone injured and unavailable?

Game is at 2:45pm Eastern/1:45 Central.

Since we are just starting, I doubt we will need multiple threads for games, just a single pre/during/post game thread will suffice. It will be nice to post any you tube fan videos for each game in these threads.

I can post the matchtracker here (I have a subscription to the game broadcasts) if you think that would be good.

Don't sing it, bring it

I'll keep an eye out for the PBP since I won't be able to hear it on the internet.
