Default Reyna to Rovers

In response to a viewer phone-in call on the possibility of the American captain's return to the states to play in MLS, Harkes revealed that his "sources" and Brad Friedel were saying that it looks probable that Reyna will make the move from Sunderland back into the Prem with Blackburn.

Souness was at the US/Brasil Gold Cup game and (take this with a grain of salt) at one of Blackburn's practises last week a BS poster says he asked him about Claudio and Souness said he was watching him and would have to talk to the club.

Default What about a replacement for Duff

So who, if anyone should Blackburn go after to replace Duff???

Smicer has already said he will fight for a place in the starting eleven at Liverpool, but if they choose to let him go due to them picking up Kewell (which imho would be a bad move... but still one I can understand) I think that Smicer could be had cheaply and might be a good fit despite the fact that he is 30... or even Cheryou...

Well they did pick up Emerton from PSV, so maybe he can switch to the left, have Reyna play on the right, and have Tugay and Thompson or a new center midfield signing in the middle.

1. Emerton will be deployed on the right, as he is a right winger, so putting him on the left will be a waste of time. From left to right, I'd say the midfield would be something like:

Reid (?) Flitcroft/Reyna/Thompson Tugay Emerton

The tactics may be similar to last season in which one out-and-out winger will be used whilst the other flank has a more central minded player. Anyway, Reyna has apparently denied he's moving.

2. Smicer and Cheryou are not good enough. The former is lightweight and generally anonymous on the pitch, and the latter a dodgy central player playing out of position.
