Any trolling will be met with a yellow. And basically, if I don't like your post, it's trolling.

    Let's keep this positive.

Uh,...we looked better than the last time we played Chicago in the playoffs?

Changes need to be made with this team. There are a couple of loved veterans that need to be let go. There, I said it.

    Sounds good.

Why the first half? Why the first match? I'm just gutted after these last 20 minutes. And why against Columbus do you start Emilio and Jaime?

We gave it our all, that should have been a gomez goal, that hand ball was unintentional and was just there to hold back Richardson(sp.) number 32?

But we gave it our all, and we fought to the death.

    Im proud of our boys.

We still got the supporters shield baby!

    Keep your head up boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta be proud of the heart the boys showed in the comeback. Too little, too late. Never a threat from Jaime or Emilio. Gomez finally came to life. Simms played with a ton of heart. Too bad.

So much for the most insane atmosphere possible at the final.

I know. that's what I was anticipating. We're still there though. Cause we are class. Pure and simple.

I've decided I no longer give a shit about the Supporters Shield.

It's not a sufficient consolation prize when you can't get it up for cups and tournaments.

Not winning the MLS cup sort of does leave a sour taste in my mouth, but i just look forward to the Concacaf Championship since we won the SS, and maybe playing our asses off their again and maybe being invited/being champ and getting invited for that to the Copa Sudamericana. :)

We are bigger than the MLS. :p

Just trying to think positive guys.

damn, that was a tense second half. to tell you the truth, i thought it was over after our two goals, but you guys did heck of a job pulling it back. i think this game probably took a lot of years off of people's lives.

great game, guys. good luck in the off season and next year.

Remember way back in the 90's when the best two teams were United and LA? And how basically United was the better of the two because they were organized beter so they didn't have those defensive breakdowns and thus could win in the playoffs?

    Good times.

Now we doing what LA did.

PS The fans in the stands were awesome.

stepovers?? why not play fred back in the corner, then you get a red and completely take away any momentum we had left despite not having a forward who could out a shot on 4 goals next to each other all game??

    AAAAARRRRGH

    Clyde Simms MOTM

Gomez and Fred played the last 20 minutes. Bobby Boswell played 0.

No we don't. We invest too much time and treasure in this team to be mollified with 10 minutes of decent play. We're not Red Bull that's happy to look dangerous.

We have choked in every big game since MLS Cup '04. Choked like a freshman giving his or her first **************.

All the credit, and I mean ALL the credit to DC United players and fans. The amount of heart showed by everyone in black in that stadium during the second half was immensely impressive. In my opinion, instead of commenting in a post game thread we should all be watching the mini game (and I can't think of a single reason why DC United wouldn't come away winners).

Seriously, I have never respected your players and your fans more.

That's what's pissing me off, though. Under Soehn we've consistently flopped out of tournaments and cups. What's the point of going to the CCC if we're just gonna flop out again?
