United v Boca Juniors [R]
United 1 Boca 0, late first half. RVN goal scorer.
Rio left the game with a leg injury. He collided with Carroll & had to leave. No word on what injury is or how long he may be out.
While I was typing this United 2 Boca 0, RVN scored his second.
So far Veron has played well. He has set up some shots & attacks on the Boca goal.

Soccernet's saying Rio did something do his ankle and when he left the pitch he wasn't able to put pressure on it. Great, just in time to start our European campaign.

Rio blow overshadows Ruud double
Rio Ferdinand's injury made the headlines ahead of Ruud van Nistelrooy's brace as Manchester United beat Boca Juniors 2-0 at Old Trafford...
TeamTalk
No word on how severe but it says he hurt his ankle after landing awkwardly.

Ferdinand injury mars Man Utd win
Rio Ferdinand is almost certainly out of Wednesday's Champions League qualifier with Zalaegerszegi after spraining his ankle in the friendly against Boca Juniors.
The defender is also facing a race against time to be fit for Saturday's Premier League opener with West Brom...
