Exclamation Campo Signs!

http://www.planetfootball.com/articl...n+deal&clid=30

Ivan Campo has signed a 3 year deal at the Reebok after the Spaniard slapped his agent about the face for messing up the original deal*

Now what about this striker?

* This may not have happened, but it should have

For ************s sake... the club announce the signing then a bit later reveal that it's actually on hold because he failed part of the medical.

Hopefully it will be sorted soonish.

Well, that was Woy Hodgson for you. Transfer negotiations would go as follows:

Woy: "Is player x available for transfer ?"
Other manager: "Yes, he's worth £3m, but we really don't want to sell him"
Woy: "OK here's £7.5m, and a toaster. He is a good player isn't he ?"
Other manager: "Oh, of course he is We'll post you his wooden leg."
Woy: "Fantastic, I have a steal."

Anyway, we only ended up with Woy because that c_nt Eriksson broke a pre-contract agreement at the last minute to go to Nazio.

Trust me, you really don't want Kevin Davies.

I know we don't.

Reminds me of the saga that lead to Dean Holdsworth's transfer to Bolton. Joe Kinnear revels in telling this one apparently.

The story goes that Kinnear was sat there one morning contemplating if he could scrape £500,000 for Dean Holdsworth from a first division club when up pops this Premiership club offering £3.5 million.

That has to rate as one of the worst buys ever. Not that Holdsworth was a bad player, he just wasn't good enough for a Premiership or top first division side and to pay £3.5 million for him, still our record transfer fee, was stupid to put it mildly.

Heh, heh. "We found some illegal drugs in Ivan's blood test, but we asked him about it and he assured us he'd never done any..."
