17 million: now what
Where do Rovers go with their 17 million (is it pounds?). Do they go after a world class 'keeper? Just kidding, love ya Big Brad.
Should they make a play for Kleberson? They need a midfielder to replace Dunn/Duff, don't they?

Central midfield isn't such a priority. We have Flitcroft, Tugay, Thompson, and youth players like Danns, Watt and Donnolly (who is apparently a star in the making). Assuming that Duff does go for £17m, I suggest the following:
1.A left sided player: e.g. Etherington (Spurs, £5m ?), Reid (Milwall, £3-4m ?) or Barry (Villa, £6-8m ?)
2.A decent striker: e.g. Beattie (So'ton, £8-10m ?), Morientes (£8-10m ?)
3. A young, tough midfielder (if there isn't one in the youth ranks)
You may think Morientes is a bit optimistic, but if he was once linked to Spurs, surely we have a chance. As for Beattie, we apparently have a clause that gives us £20% of any sale Southampton has, so a £10m bid would end up being £8m. I just hope it Duff does go, we can act quickly to secure players of the above quality.

17 million: now what
Morientes isn't that unrealistic, didn't he get the Macca treatment, in that he was told to leave and wasn't even given a squad number? With Blackburn suddenly 17m richer, and Spurs out of the running, it's not as unrealistic as you may think.
Beattie, on the other hand, I don't think you've a chance, if he leaves it'd only be to one of the top four.
