    *sigh*

I couldn't figure out what was wrong with us. It's like all the players (all 6 midfielders) wanted to assist but nobody wanted to score the goal. Has DeRo lost the ability to beat a man one on one? He does that and it's clear to Cannon for him for most of the game.

Thank you, it does like great covered in Dynamo Orange. To bad we couldn't have made it look better by putting a Dynamo win there too. :)

All I can say is "wow."

Just when you think you've seen the worst the MLS officiating has to offer, they continue to amaze with a higher degree of ineptitude.

Wouldn't be surprised if in a few years time, we find out that ole Abbey is implicated in a gambling scandal like Tim Donaghy from the NBA.

I can’t stand that %^%#@ Referee He really SUCKS!!! There should of been one Penalty kick 4 fouls and 2 offside that were not called at all for the Dynamo… GOD We should of won this games 4 – 2 at least. The ref reminds me of a damn big ass orangutan!!! WTF? He does not know how to ref at all!!! He needs to go back and learn how the game should really be played!! I got to go and cool off!! DAMN IT!!!

What we all must understand is the Galaxy must be in the playoffs - it is in the league plan. Beckham will be back, tickets will be sold, commercials will be made. ;)

    1) Spice Girls Lip syncing is stupid. And can someone remind me of their names? I saw Scary Spice, Posh Spice, and there was one that looked like Chubby Spice.

    2) Real Men of Genius...thank you!

    oh the actual game

    1) Jaqua sucks but his goals per minute is amazing and he set up Ngwenya perfectly at the start of the second half. Dom may be turning him into the player that Yallop could only dream of him being.
    2) Ngwenya and Ashe really botched their chances and that was basically the game for us. Crappy crappy finishing.
    3) The ref was poor. How is it not a red card for kicking Mulrooney? How was that not a PK when the guy slid into Ngwenya and didn't touch the bar.

Anyway, a lapse in the last minute of the first half and poor finishing turned what should have been a 3-0 or 4-0 into a 1-2 loss. Such is football.

Did I mention that I enjoyed that Real Men of Genius thing?

Have to tell y'all this funny story about concessions at the Rob today -
my future brother-in-law went up to buy a beer and the concession person stuck a can of beer on the counter that came out of bin with no ice. So my brother-in-law said, is that beer cold? They looked at him like he had two heads. So he felt the can (before they opened and poured it) and he told them the beer was hot.

Wait for it, wait for it......they asked him if he wanted some ice in his cup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA What morons!!:D

Not real inspiring soccer by the men in orange. They did the same thing in front of a big crowd at Reliant last year against LA. Did anyone see how bad Ching was limping around after the game. Doesn't look good. Anyone know what happened to him?

Just got back from the game.

C'mon let's not kid ourselves. We all know what happened here! This was match-fixing at it's finest. Fair play to the ref, he did what MLS wanted him to do, win it for the Galaxy. I mean seriously there should have been some sendings off.

I hope you are not serious unless the Dynamo were in the match-fixing conspiracy themselves. The boys played awful today even if the ref was bad. We know it is a long season but very uninspiring soccer in front of a lot of fans today.

You are joking right? The ref was abysmal I remember so many Houston fouls and none for the Dynamo it was horrible. It really affected our play as the players get frustrated when they keep getting fouled and nothing happens.

I also really wanted to see Dalglish but no PT. Why not? Especially since Jaqua and Ngwenya were less than impressive. Ashe actually didn't do too bad so why not take off one of the strikers and let Holden or Davis play in an attacking role?

Ok we cannot use the" to many games in a week excuse" Our players did not show up to play today and I don't why? I guess our chances to win the west are gone?

I have to agree...I thought we did not play well today. The ref as mentioned, was pretty bad, and we should definately have had a penalty, but even so, we had enough chances to put the game away after an early goal. We squandered chance after chance (Mr Ashe...) and went missing in midfield..I mean, seriously, what the hell happened to our central Mid?? I think I might have spotted them on a milk carton somewhere!

Add in a couple of lapses in concentration at the back and we have the result we have. I think Becks Galaxy and the most dubious looking spice girls I have seen in a long time (somehow ginger spice is now Asian??) must have had 2 shots all day and scored both. In the end, we just didnt look like we wanted to be there, and they did - Hell, even LadyBoy LandyCakes was throwing himself around a little!

    There were some highlights, though....
    • Brad D and Stui back
    • 30,000+ crowd which was freaking awesome!
    • Bud Light men of Genious....pure hilarity
    • I got a free hat
    • the David Beckham wanna-be and his "posh look-a-like" in his Galaxy 23 shirt in section 215 right next to EB getting harrassed, mercilessly booed/mocked and then finally being escorted out of 215 by worried cops! - Hilarious! :D

I was rather annoyed, though, by the Cougars branding that had been left up on the outside of the stadium, where normally we would have seen Dynamo branding...thought that was a little uneccesary and irritated me, but that's something I guess I'll have to live with for a while yet...right Mr Luck??

There is a fix. Also my next door neighbor is from Mars and you can even see his Martian dwelling on satellite pictures that NASA has but is only available on certain internet sites.

The foul difference? LA 9, Houston 12. Not many fouls and frankly it was called pretty even (stuff let go on both sides).

Jaqua was horrible? He scored a sitter and set Ngwenya up for a sitter. If only everybody was that horrible.

Ngwenya was constantly getting into dangerous positions (heading over the bar, taken down for what should have been a PK, the point blank he shot wide, rounded Cannon and couldn't finish from an acute angle). Sure the finishing wasn't there, but he and Mullan were both dangerous all game long.

    Seriously.

That was a pretty indifferent effort today. Decent possession but we missed a bunch of guys running into spaces in between the LAG back lines. Didn't seem like we wanted it as bad as LA did, and they were clearly the less talented team. Kind of felt like April again and that's not good.

DeRo doesn't seem to be able to beat anyone one on one anymore. The burst he had in '06 is gone. He's been nicked up a little bit this year but all in all I don't think he is nearly the player or the focus of the opposition anymore. I hate to say it, but at times this year we look better thru additon by subtraction when some of our "stars" are out. It doesn't seem like it should be that way with the caliber of guys we have. We played better in June and July with guys missing than we have with a full roster.

Ngwenya and Jaqua have moments of horrible touch and decision making but without them, I'm scared to think of what our offense would be. Ngwenya blows chances but can open up the field unlike anyone else we have on the roster. Jaqua at least gets the garbage goals.

We can probably kiss away most hopes of winning the Western Conference but we still need to get some kind of result to insure 4th overall and a Superliga berth (or have Dallas not win the last 2).

Ching was supposed to start, but do to a strained back was a last minute scratch and Mullan played for him. Didn't see him limping, all though I was just excited watching him sign my jersey that I could of missed it.
