I came up with a point system to determine the best in Europe. It is impossilbe to conmpare with Latin American clubs.

European Cup/CL winner: 5 points
World Cup Club/Toyota Cup: 1 point(because basically it is one extra match for the European Cup/CL winner)
UEFA Cup: 3 pts
Cup Winners' Cup: 3 pts
EC/CL runnerup: 1 pt
UEFA/Cup Winners' Cup runnerup: 0.5 pt

1) Real Madrid 58
2) AC Milan 48.5
3) Liverpool 36.5
4) Bayern Munich 31
5) Juventus 30.5
6) Ajax 27.5
7) Barcelona 26.5
8) Inter Milan 23.5
9) Porto 15.5
10) Benfica 15
11) Man Utd 14
12) Feyenoord 12
13) Arsenal 8
14) PSV 8

If I only count the winners....

EC/CL = 5
UEFA/Cup winners = 3
World Club Cup/Toyota Cup: 1

1) Real Madrid 54
2) AC Milan 44
3) Liverpool 34
4) Bayern Munich 28
5) Ajax 25
6) Juventus 24
7) Barcelona 22
8) Inter Milan 21
9) Porto 15
10) Man Utd 14
11) Feyenoord 12
12) Benfica 10
13) PSV 8
14) Arsenal 6

I realise that you were only doing it based on the clubs on the list but Spurs have won 2 UEFA Cups and a CWC, and were once runners up in the UEFA. That would give them 9.5 points under your system.

I was too lazy to look up other clubs. The Spurs escaped me. I have not even thought of them.

Anyway, I don't take this system seriously. It is far from perfect. I would like to add domestic results without giving the Celtics and Rangers a free ride to the top 10. Liverpool would probably overtake AC milan if domestic results are considered.

Dortmund (10), Gladbach (8) and HSV (9,5) would be missing as well.

Actually, Libertadores Cup is an equivalent in Latin America for EC/CL. You can consider also Conmebol Cup (does not exist anymore) or Copa Sul-Americana as an equivalent for UEFA Cup.
