Default Television Thread

I'm sure this thread has already been started some time ago, but I couldn't find it. Being a college student majoring in Journalism I have a ton of time on my hands. I thought this way we could discuss our favorite television shows, aside from soccer related shows.

These last few months I have been watching Burn Notice on USA. But I am also a favorite of shows on the Discovery and National Geographic channels. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is also a good one.

My favorite TV shows the last couple of years have been Scrubs and That 70s Show.

I don't seem to get hooked on any shows for too long. I liked scrubs in the beginning but then moved on. Same with 'Office' great show and cast, my wife still follows that. If it's a good one she'll record it for me.
Last night we watched Survivor China, Survivor is a regular Pizza night for us, as is the Amazing Race.
I've started watching.the new BBC sci fi series Torchwood. Looks like fun and not to serious.

I watch far too much footie. Even watched Manure vs Sporting last night. Had to turn the sound down sounded like the comms where wanking each other off over Manure and Christiana.
That twat actually bowed to the crowd like Aggassi does when he was subbed out....

I don't watch much TV to be honest, but since the season started, I've missed my baseball fix, so I try to catch the occasional Baseball Tonight, or even Sports Center will do.

If you guys haven't seen "The Wire", you're missing out on some of the greatest television ever produced. It's an HBO show about the drug trade in Baltimore and it is excellent.

Go rent it on DVD. It takes awhile to get going, as there's a bit of a learning curve to the show, but it's well worth the time invested. Season 4 is simply amazing, groundbreaking stuff.

So I saw that new reality television show "Kid Nation".

The most ridiculous shite I have ever seen. I can't believe someone's parents would allow them on that show. I swear at least five of the kids cried 10+ times during one episode.

I only made it through the 1st ten minutes & turned it off. The whole premise is stupid & the kids kept looking into the camera......way too staged!

Yeah after the first show I realized I am probably not going to watch it.

I am watching the first episode of "Chuck" and "Heroes" tonight. I should probably be studying for my biology and anthropology tests I have tomorrow.

I like The Amazing Race & Survivor as well, for 'reality' shows. Lost & Prison Break are my 'dramas', oh and House.

I think thats about it from recent shows!

Edit- just read Aussie's choices above me- it shows what they are pushing us in advertising obviously!

Well since the writer's strike I haven't been able to watch new episodes of the office or scrubs.

So I have basically been watching basketball and South Park.
