Default Early Bird Special: Pre-Season in Austria 2008/2009?

I seem to recall discussions during the spring that we would not be continuing the pre-season camp in Austria moving forward. Does anyone know (even at this VERY early stage) whether this is true, and, if so, what the alternative plans are?

Let the record show that, even as an American, I sincerely hope they don't start sending the team all over the world (for example, Los Angeles).

We will be told in Feb 2008, not before.

Don't you think it's pretty much a done deal as soon as Wenger signs his new contract?

We were considering making the trip to Sevilla in November, but I think it's time to try the pre-season trip. My only concern is that many of the first team squad might be away for Euro 2008...

Good point. On the other hand, if we keep up our current form we won't have CL qualifying next year, so preseason will likely start a little later.

Let's hope.

Of course, I completely forgot that Euro 2008 is in Austria/Switzerland this year, so that's nice. I wish I could just spend several weeks there and catch Euro matches plus pre-season, but that's a dream.

Euro 2008 runs from June 7 to 29, and pre-season ran from July 17 to 25 last year, so if we didn't have the CL qualifiers the pre-season could push and still give players enough time off to return. Might be tight, we'll see.
