I would like to know what other peoples opinions are on who is better: Brazilian Robinho or English Shaun Wright Phillips.

I've personally never like Robinho. SWP was great at Man City, but stunk up the place at Chelsea, I'm glad he has stayed though, as he is really starting to show potential.

SWP is so hit and miss that he's more trouble than he's worth. Robinho just had a great Copa America and has been growing consistently.

I did feel that he should have originally gone the Brazilian Ronaldo root by going to somewhere like PSV first, learning about Europe and then finally after perhaps two seasons, and if good enough moving to a bigger European team, like when Ronaldo left for Barcelona, and what a move that was for him!

I'm a Shaun Wright-Phillips fan, but even I have to admit that Robinho is a WAY better player than SWP. Not only is Robinho about 3 years younger, he's stronger, more skilled, more versatile and more dangerous as a goal scorer. And he's just about as fast as SWP. SWP may be a better crosser of the ball, and may have a very slight pace advantage, but that's all he has on Robinho.

I completely agree with you, Robinho unfortunately has been really unappreciated by real madrid and this has certainly affected the potential he has. Hopefully he'll show what he's capable of this season.

You say unappreciated, we say underperformed.
