I'm glad they worked out a game, even if it is Panama. I like the idea of Gio debuting for the big team in Mexico rather than abroad.

So they finally admitted that there were conflicts within the team. Supposedly, due to playing time. I guess we'll never know the whole story.

This is a garbage game, but if Gio comes than everything will be ok.

I'd rather Gio stay focused with Barcelona and actually debut in the first division before being called up... especially against Panama, no need to risk him getting injured. Those guys aren't dirty but they play hard...

Last night on FSE they were saying something about Chilindrina and la seleccion. I didnt catch it though. And the players that will be playing against panama are mostly sub 23 for the olympic team. So we might see Gio and Vela....

Panama is a step back but a good step to take before Brasil.

Cerda is going to break out this game. I hope Hugo calls ''el hobbit'' he is going to compliment Gio brilliantly

Just heard that Michel got permission to go back to Chivas and play vs S.Luis than he'll comeback and they'll tell him if he made the list vs Brazil... and that vs Panama is Arias and Blanco who'll play

I prefer Blanco over Arias, he earned it this past summer . Arias reminds me of Moises Munoz

    nothing wrong with moi:cool:

also, yes Blanco earned it last summer, however, Arias is still (as of today) the defending world champion. For some reason, coaches like to go with really experienced goalies, which is why goalies are by average the oldest players in world soccer.

But, this is actually a positive thing, when it comes to goalies, Mexico needs not worry for quite a long time. Also, Arias and Blanco are going to be warming up the bench for few years cuz of the beast: a.k.a Memo:D

Difference is Blanco has been awful with Indios.. check his numbers and check Arias numbers... Blanco has about 13 goals against in 4 or 5 games.. not good... and Arias has been a starter with Dorados this past 4 games and they're undefeated.

edit: have you seen muñoz this season? he's been awesome.

Have you seen either of them play with indios and dorados?

Numbers can be deceiving for a goalkeeper, depending on the defense in front of them

Just look at Saucedo. He's been one of the top 3 goalkeepers in the league this season, but he has a horrible team ahead of him and has a horrible record next to his name, much like Blanco. Cirilio is definitely not the 3rd worst goalkeeper in the league.

I do agree about Memo though, it looks as if he finally lost weight, and got into top shape, and it has shown on the field. Good for him.
