This is it. The big one we've all been looking forward to for near enough three months. In that time we've sold our captain and all-time top goalscorer, signed Croatia's biggest talent, signed French football's most sought-after defender, moved a few players around just for the hell of it, and won the Emirates Cup AND the Amsterdam Tournament. But nothing, nothing can take away from the this moment. The moment that Premier League football is BACK!

Arsenal take on Fulham in the opening match of Arsenal's season. Hold on to your hats, because this is going to be a rollercoaster ride that takes us through until May!

Manu Adebayor has been ruled out of the game, also RvP may have a foot injury - we are awaiting information on this. All that's left to say is, COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!

All right, we already secured the double :D, we could win the sextuple this season!!!

And I hope rvp only sustained a minor knock from that bullshit intentional ankle-breaking attempt from "player (asshole) of the tournament" heitinga.

Can't wait! Unfortunately, will be in Canada with no TV coverage on Canadian FSC :(

Hope RvP makes it. If so,

Jens; Sagna, Toure, Gallas (c), Clichy; Eboue, Cesc, Diaby, Rosicky; Hleb, RvP.

    If not,

Jens; Sagna, Toure, Gallas (c), Clichy; Eboue, Cesc, Diaby, Rosicky; Hleb, Eduardo.

    FINALLY!

Its weird the weeks between the end of a season and the start of a new one seem to take forever to pass but they also fly by so quickly.

Come on Arsenal lets hit the ground running!

The time for talk is over - time to show what we got. This could be a great season for us provided we avoid any serious long term injuries.

Looking forward to finally seeing eduardo play - I've missed all the preseason games he featured in.

I'm guessing 2-1. We should score more, but won't, and 1 clumsy moment amidst 90 minutes of domination will be where they pick up a goal.

I forsee a lot of 2-1s this season.

Sorry to disappoint but Gilberto's out of this one, didn't mention that in the first post. I'd say the starting XI will be:

    GK Lehmann

    RB Eboue
    CB Gallas (C)
    CB Toure
    LB Clichy

    RW Rosicky
    CM Flamini/Denilson (probably the former)
    CM Fabregas
    LW Hleb

    FW van Persie
    FW Eduardo

Wikipedia says that Arsenal has already won this fixture 4-nill. What's the next fixture?

Hehe, just kidding. We should ban anyone citing Wikipedia.

3-nill to the Arsenal. Lehman with a brace off of two corners in the 29th and 35th. Eduardo finishing it off in the 87th.

According to wikipedia, Jens scored twice in the Bundesliga for Schalke...one was a corner and the other was a penalty. So 1 from a corner and 2 penalties could make up that hattrick :p

I've seen the one from a corner. Bloody brilliant header that was!
