Blanchopolfe
Man, I'm thinking about picking up a new shirt, and I can't decide. May have to go with Blanchopolfe.
Now that you can have Armas simply be the destroyer in front of the back line, with these three up top and Mapp out on one wing, we went from being one of the least dangerous teams to a potential machine (assuming we see a Wanchope press conference soon).
Wanchope may not be the player that he was when he burst on the scene as a 20 year old, but given his decent form in Argentina recently, I think he has enough left to at least be our Roy Lassiter for a year or two.
When Roy had etcheverry and Moreno pulling defenses apart, he had room to simply knock in the balls that came to him. He obviously was never the player Paulo was, but if we can just get that out of him. . . . wow.
Edit -- we still need a Right Mid.

Chris Rolfe. In a 4-2-3-1. I think you can guess the who is where in the 3-1 part.

Man, I really like this, particularly if Mapp and Rolfe are free to slash in whenever they feel like it.
Plus, with Armas and maybe Soumare playing in front of the backline and with Guti in the middle we can afford to have one of the curtin brothers in the middle as well just clearing out any balls whipped in. Here is is my friends:
---------------Pickens----------------------
Robinson -- Curtin--Guti--Guerrero------
-----------Armas----Suomare-------------
Rolfe-----------Blanco-------------Mapp--
--------------Wanchope--------------------
Maybe CJ instead of Curtin or Robinson. Then, you can always take out Soumare if needed, put Olivera in to be more offensive and push Rolfe up higher. Thiago to spell our old man in the middle.

Re: Blanchopolfe
I would rather have Rolfe and Mapp running at defenders than running back to get the ball.

If Wanchope still has a year or two of gas left in the tank, I'm eager to have him. Barrett and Carr have had their chances, and don't appear to be ready.
However, from the limited amount I've seen him, I like what Menezes has shown. You haven't?

I do like what I have seen so far, and I think our three brazillians give us a lot of options. I can see him for Soumare with Rolfe pushing up front in my line up, but my current preferred line-up includes Soumare based more on seeing him a few more times. He's not spectacular, but I do see some promise from him. Same with Menezes.

I do, and I think he is a candidate for the RM spot.

I think you have to play Mapp at RM now, though, don't you? Wanchope and Rolfe on top, with Blanco central, Guerrero on the left and Mapp on the right. Although with as much as he was stretching the field on Sunday, I could see Blanco and Mapp switching places a lot, giving defenders fits.

See, this is the part where we go back to the 4-2-3-1. Rolfe, Blanco and Mapp are the 3, and they figure out the rest...
