Any team capable of winning two or more this season?
Not sure if this has been brought up in another forum so if it has could a mod please move......
Much is being made of the strength of United (with r without tevez) and some grumblings have even been made about three and 4 trophy haul. But in looking at the other big three and Spurs, I have to say that those teams are more than capable of winning something this term. Chelsea looks pretty deep and Arsenal does not look bad even without TH14. 'Pool also looks good for the Cup competitions at least.
Does anyone think that any one team this year will win multiple trophies? And who is our strongest contender in the champions league?

Chelsea for the treble!
But realistically, Chelsea will win 2 and Manchester United 1.

I have little doubt Chelsea will win no less than 2 trophies next season.

United just keeps getting better and better. They have a real chance of winning A LOT this season, as do my Blues.

Re: Any team capable of winning two or more this season?
Last season was really exciting because of the 2 horse-race almost to the end of the season. I see a 3 or possibly 4 horse-race this season. No one will have this wrapped up by Christmas this year which I think is a great thing. I see Chelsea and ManU splitting things up pretty evenly this year though Chelsea are already up one piece of silverware............

Re: Any team capable of winning two or more this season?
It'll be the same two for the title this year, but I think Liverpool and Arsenal will be closer to them. I think it's possible to win more than one trophy but let's get something straight:
No one will ever win the treble again!
It was a one off achievement made by a one off team made up of uniquely talented players riding on the crest of a wave and benefitting from some extraordinary luck at times. I honestly think that Man Utd and Chelsea can invest all the money they like; they won't win it again and neither will Arsenal or Liverpool.
So, now we've come to accept that little bomb shell, I think this years title will go to Chelsea but I think Man Utd might win the CL. I'd personally like to win the title and the CL but I don't think that's possible because of the way our PL and FA like to cram in so many games towadrs the end of the season.......

Of course someone else will win the treble again. Give it time.

You not been taking your meds again, Harry? Both Chelsea and United went close TWO MONTHS AGO.
Anyone could win all 4. Anyone could win nothing. Nobody knows, that's why we watch.

Someone will win the treble again. Remember - before United did in 99 - it happened 3 other times. Granted, not in England But it has happened. I think Celtic has won it in the past!
Now the QUAD! That would be something special.

Re: Any team capable of winning two or more this season?
trebles are less difficult to win now than they have ever been (for english clubs, anyway). the fewer teams that are competitive, the shorter the odds. hell, the even the most competitive sides in the league cup are the big clubs - and they aren't even trying!
factor in that the money in england (and the influx of foreigners*) has made english clubs more competitive than ever in europe, as well, and it's obvious.
*not that 'foreigners', per se, are the key, of course - many leagues have tons of them. but they've made the english league far less insular than it was ten years back - and far better in europe.
