I'm worried about Argentina's offense, hopefully they have a bad day.

You guys could bring the ball trough the middle with Messi, Riquelme etc. Or if that doesn't work you can use the wings with Zanetti.

It would be very important for Mexico to score first, also Mexico has to try more long range shots. Guardado has seemed kind of afraid to try long range shots.

He tried some against Paraguay but most of the time the ball was in his right foot or he didn't have enough time.

I agree with other posters here, if Mexico scores first they'll bunker down like they did against Brazil and Ecuador...and they'll play the counter attack.
Based on the previous CA matches that both teams played, I see Argentina winning this one.
It won't be a 4-0 but a 2-1, 2-0
The Argies have shown the best futbol so far in this CA, and if Brazil doesn't bring the game up (playing better than against Chile), Argentina's taking the cup home.
Also, be ready to see some beautiful runs from Messi and Castillo

I really hope that Tevez gets the start because quite frankly, regardless of what Basile says, he's more competitive than Milito. I know that a DT's vision is crucial but as you all saw against Peru, Tevez is more dynamic and his velocity far outweighs the fact that "he's not a true 9."
I expect that Milito will start and will be sub-out by Tevez later in the game if we haven't managed to score or if we are down. I think that this match will be much more physical and tenacious than the games have been so far and a true 9 who can win the ball inside the box could prove to be the difference in the game. Think of Crespo's goal against Mexico in the WC. If by early second half we still haven't score, then Tevez will provide a fresh and different approach to getting there. I only wish that Saviola was in the squad, he played great against them in the WC.

He had a good game, but I am still not conviced. I think that his teamates only hug him to cool off.

he had a really good 2nd half. but lets remember that we played against a us defense. and a colombian one that received 5 against paraguay. and peru strong point isnt unnecessarily defending. but he had a good game and we will see how he does against mexico a strong and organized defense.

ya, use milito's size to fatigue the mexican defense first. then put tevez in when they're tire to get opened.

Last nite in the press conference, Basile was asked if Tevez would play against Mexico. He answered that if "it is up to me to make the team he would play". Quite sarcastic.

Also, if it wasn't done to motivate Carlitos ... he was assigned Messi as room mate. You can only imagine the chemistry between both by now.

Mexico will press in all sectors of the field, just as they did in the WC. They have less of an air threat now compared to last time. But tend to outnumber you in the midfield. It is important that Zanetti pushes forward to balance the mid and control Guardado or Morales if he gets to play.

Another thing to point out is that, with luck or not, they have only received 1 goal in this Copa America. But they did receive lots of danger in hteir box. It is as much a deficit from the attacking opposition as much as their organization.

Milito should start the game ... give Marquez and Co. a tuff time with the crosses and then bring Carlitos "Hulk" Tevez to rip them apart with his power and speed. The heat factor will once again be important to dosify.

As to Neri, he is a good player. He was given too much space by the Brazilians, who probably thought Neri was the player of the Gold Cup, where he pretty much was absent. Now that you know he has speed and good dribbling, the key is to anticipate him ... not let him receive the ball. Afterall, common! he is still playing at Olympiakos ... it is not as if he hasn't played in european club competition yet he is still there. No club was "sparked" by his performances. In other words, against better defenders, he has shown what he is made of. Lets hope he doesn't decide to open up on Wed.

The 90' to pks is BS thou. In the WC and Confederations Cup you knew you had 30 more minutes to open them up. This time Argentina needs to apply offensive pressure from the go. Score first and open them up.
