US Open Cup goal scoring record ????
Although The Bakersfield Brigade is not in the running for the US Open Cup - after signing Eric Wynalda for the remainer of the season ... I was wondering if anyone had stats on the modern (after 1995) record for Open Cup goals ?
I know there have been several plyers that had great runs (Johnny Menyongar - Minnesota Thunder, Doug Miller - Rochester Rhinos) but I wonder who has compiled more than 10 or so goals from Cup games over the past decade.
I'm thinking someone like DC United's Jamie Moreno must have come close.
Does anyone have a clue ?

So the first 30 years of my life were pre-history? Thanks...I think I'll go lie down now. ;-)

Well, I'm pretty sure I did not say "pre-history" ... but if you feel old, whatch gonna do ? (go to a soccer game is my prescription)
I was refering to the point that prior to 1995, pro clubs were not involved until you go back to the first American Soccer League (up to 1931) ... from the 1940's to the 1980's pro leagues refused to participate. Much like the casuality of MLS today, but at least they are playing.

I know, I know...believe me, you don't need to mention U.S. soccer history to me--it's a long-time passion of mine. It was just funny to see post-1995 described as the "modern era," under any circumstances.
I'm going to check some of my USL media guides--they usually feature pretty solid Open Cup coverage (as opposed to the MLS guides), and maybe they'll have a list of post-1995 goal scorers.
