its obvious who the best foreign players are e.g. henry, bergkamp, fabregas, ronaldo ,cech ,berbatov etc

but underated i think theres the 3 barton above mentioned who have been good for league but personally id have to add

john arne riise (consistently good on the left and knows how to attack)

brian mcbride (gutsy -gets him self about )

benayoun ( good past 2 seasons )

hypia ( a rock for a good few seasons )

tugay ( old but still one hell of a player)

I'd say players like Evra, Heinze, Hyypia, Riise, Bocanegra, etc for current players but there are too many who are much of a muchness.

Go back a bit further to the early 90's and even though I can't stand him and we did more to make Man Utd the pre-eminent force in English football by letting him go there for peanuts, I'd have to say, for impact on English football, Cantona.

Later there's Wengers players like Vieira and Bergy, and I'd have to say Viduka at Leeds would be up there.

But, and this is completely biased, but going by his ability, loyalty, love of the club and for just being better that Rio who cost us £18m, and also for his considerable charity work in his native SA.
My personal favourite foreign player is the Chief, Lucas Radebe.

the best have to be these ones: cantona, c. ronaldo, bergkamp, henry, berbatov, fabregas van nistelrooy and tevez. as for the underrated i would say: benayoun, riise, mark hughes, o.g solsjaer and aladiadiere - wrong spelling but its that former arsenal striker that moved to boro.
