Re: Argentina vs Paraguay Match Thread
Lucho and Aimar are in a race to see who makes the most turnovers.
Tevez and Palacio very unlucky. Both hit the post.

MASCHERANO ************!!!!
I didn't get a chance to watch the game, so I'll take you guys' word on who played well, however the guys on Radio Mitre said Argentina played much better than the paraguas. Did Cambiasso and Lucho start?

Re: Argentina vs Paraguay Match Thread
Argentina dominated. It was clear Paraguay were playing for the tie. Cambiasso was excellent. Lucho was very bad as usual and Aimar was mediocre. Zanetti was probably MOTM.
Ohh and props to Cata Diaz who was very solid. Better than Milito has been all tournament.
Pato should have proven his doubters wrong. He had an excellent match.

Lucho was Lucho and Cambiasso actually imo played a much improved game while he was in there. Aimar aint it unfortunately but still a great talent. Javier was and is amazing. The next captain of the NT. Palacio showed he belonged and had a solid match and lastly El Pato had his best match.

Re: Argentina vs Paraguay Match Thread
Cucho gave up the ball way too much! he probably did do a couple of good moves but his passes werent good what so ever! Lucho played an ok first half but then sucked the rest of the game Aimar did ok but who can blame him playing with Lucho and Cambiasso? Palacio deserves a start, Tevez was good but not his greatest form, Diaz was good in times and bad in others Burdisso was solid!, Zanetti was Zanetti, Ibarra was i dont know where! :/
If anyone thinks Gago didnt play well then u were probably refering to Lucho :/ cause Gago actually did what he was suppose to do!

Re: Argentina vs Paraguay Match Thread
I must say I'm very happy with the choices of Basile so far. Lucho was again bad in this game, and I was hoping for him to be replaced by Messi. And there Coco answers my prayer
Also his 2 subs (Masche and Messi) were the ones involved in the goal. Great substitutions.
I was positively impressed by Palacio (not seeing many Boca games here). Both him and Tevez were unlucky, indeed.
Aimar was Ok, but we would expect more from him.
Defense was very solid. Actually better than our usual one, considering the Paraguayans know how to attack and shoot.
All others were doing well, as we dominated most of the game. But it was difficult to score with the very good Paraguayan defense, and it was great that we finally managed, so as to top our group and play Peru.
No doubt for me that Paraguay was the strongest team we played so far, and they keep all their chances in this competition.
