Default david beckham

i am english and i have watched beckham for many years because i am a big united fan nd followed madrid to watch beckham and i think he will be wasting what ever career he had left by moving to l.a galaxy because they are in a league people see as a retirement league and i think beckham has alot more years left in him as a top player and shouldn't waste it in a little league like the mls.

I am also english but of a different opinion. Beckham was unwanted at madrid in january and was offered a club with LA. Milan were also in for Beckham but

a) Hes not the brightest to learn italian, it took 3 years for basic spanish
b) Hes a family man, he didnt want to uproot his family in another different culture
c) Hes proved he is a world class player
d) The money offered is amazing

Madrid suddenly surge up the league from the old van nistelrooy beckham partnership and suddenly want to keep him. Sorry madrid but too little too late. He would only return to england with United so where else. I think the reason Beckham gives to raise the profile of the US game is a little bit of bull, i think its more to do with a pushy wife and to raise his profile in the US. However Becks is a model pro and will be head and shoulders above anyone in that league, the best passer of the ball in world football.

His move is nothing about soccer. He wants Hollywood. Period. He has no other place left in Europe for him after Real Madrid and MU. People knew it four years ago when he joined Real Madrid that the US or I should say "Hollywood"(not LA) is his next destination.

if beckham didn't want to change cultures why didn't he stay at madrid then? and i don't know why victoria wants to go to hollywood because she has no talent the only thing that will be famous is beckham and he was a massive star at madrid. and the point about being a great passer, his crosses will go to waste because there is no quality to finish. finally if beckham ever wanted to be remembered as a football player hes ruined it now because players who go to the mls are forgotten.

As the American and English cultures are very similar so its not exactly going to be hard for them to fit it in. We all know Victoria has no talent. You dont exactly have to be a great player to score from his crosses as a distant touch on the ball and its a goal, however you may have a point with the 30 yard plus throughballs as unless LA sign a decent veteran up front a huge part of his game will go wasted

^They have been making transfer moves left and right, to give Becks some support. They just signed Carlos Pavon, Honduran international who was the leading scorer in the Concacaf gold cup (scored four goals in group stage game against Cuba), played in Serie A and Mexican Primera. He's not as strong as in his serie A days, but is a vet who will be able to connect with his crosses.
