Question Status of signings??

Prenn,
What's going on right now? Are Laville and Campo really balking at resigning or are they just trying to squeeze some more money out of Sam?

Also what's up with Sam's list of three targets? The center back I can understand but none of them are strikers are they?

What's the word in Bolton?

Laville is stalling on the contract because the club have stupidly only offered him a two year deal, he wants longer.

Campo is undecided. Apparently Sporting Lisbon have offered him more money than us but Chairman Phil Gartside is hoping that Campo will return the faith the club showed in him. My view is that he'll go to Sporting.

As for the three transfer targets Laursen has said no and the rest are up in the air. You're right as well, it's a bit strange that we're targeting 2 centre backs as well as Laville and another friggin midfielder when what we really need is a striker.

I think the club should push the boat out and see if we can get Francis Jeffers. If we could pay the fee over the length of his contract it may well be worth paying around £7 million for him.

Things are going slow at the moment but with the transfer window I'd expect there to be more activity than there usually is at this time of year.
