Default How did you become a Wolves supporter?

I began watching football at age 12 in '78 through the old "Soccer Made In Germany" and "Star Soccer" PBS shows. Watched them religiously.
On 'Star Soccer' I got so fed up watching Liverpool and Nottingham Forest win every week that when they showed the '80 League Cup Final and Andy Gray capitalized on that blunder, Wolves won me right then and there as my favorite English side.
Dumb story, I know. But Wolves and FC Koeln in Germany have remained my top 2 clubs even throughout the 80s and 90s. And now BOTH got promoted to their respective top flight leagues!

Not as clever, but whatever works...
When I was younger, I saw a soccer program somewhere, not sure where, and someone referenced Wolves, using that, instead of saying Wolverhampton, or whatever. So, being American, and used to rooting for teams with identifiable nicknames (and not realizing that most clubs in England had nicknames too), I latched on to them, and that's that.

We shouldn't have let Ludo go, unless they are willing to spend. That Dane turned us down.

As a young boy, the first professional footy I was able to watch live was Wolverhampton playing as the Los Angeles Wolves. They were "rented" to represent LA in the new league in the USA during the summer of 1967.
They were crowned champions that year in a very exciting match against Aberdeen of Scotland which even got my non-soccer fan father to his feet for most of the match.
They inspired my life long love of the game and got me into AYSO that year which was the 3rd year of that youth soccer league in the USA, I believe. I had to take long trips to youth games in LA then as there were no teams in my area and few in total.
Sigi, the coach of the LA Galaxy was a player in the same league at that time too. He was much smaller then.
There was no high school soccer in my area either so I continued as best I could and then was a member of the 1st organized team at my college.
I've followed the Wolves results as best I could ever since and now I can see them again on TV in the states this next year!

Fixed your post.

BTW, for those of us who never saw his hugeness during his playing days, it's hard to believe there was a time when he didn't have that gut.
