Old action photographs from football matches just look incredible to me. You could always see the sky in the background as stadia were not as large yet, and the players just seemed to be frozen in time. Maybe it's just because they are black and white, but they do look incredible.

Two pictures taken 5 weeks apart January 15th 1958 and February 19th 1958 that don't really need words to tell the story.
