Default How will the French fans treat the boys in red, white & blue?

Given the current state of world affairs, I suspect we won't be the most popular team to the locals.

Not that our boys won't be used to it.

This topic appeared in a thread (on topic or not) a while back, and basically what I concluded is that most most of "the locals" would understand that it's just politics and nothing to linger over. So most of the French fans won't hate the USA team because of their politicians' differences; rather it would be because they are the opposing team and don't want to lose to the USA in their own country (if/when the USA and France get that far).
