Is Columbus Too Small for MLS?
Not sure why he even bothered with this article, as the only purpose is to slam our fine city. I guess it does not matter that RBNY and Chivas draw about the same attendance #'s despite the fact they have a population about 5-6 times as Columbus

Probably due to their inferiority complex after being humbled at CCS

There's some ridiculous irony in a DC fan calling out Columbus, of all places, as not being a good fit for the league. This guy doesn't understand what MLS has learned in the past ten years regarding SSSs and long-term viability. We have an SSS and we are not bleeding money, unlike many in this league. And I'm a fan of both teams because I've lived in both cities.
Looking at the current teams in MLS, I don't think contraction makes sense at all, save perhaps KC if they can't get an SSS built. But if you're going to advocate contraction for the betterment of the league, why not start with the teams that don't have an SSS, don't have shovels in the ground, and are losing money at an incredible rate? These teams are the ones that still have questions about their long-term viability.
KC, Houston, Chivas, DC, and NE all fit into this category. Columbus doesn't.
And this guy talks about how great the DC traveling fans were, and completely ignores the Crew supporters' groups
I didn't hear the DC fans at all--the drums in 103 were too loud and I was too busy singing
