Default Casual Shoe thread 2, in honour of long lost Casual Shoe thread 1....

Plz merge if ever the old thread materialises....

So anyways, I've been real good of late, have kept my purchasing down to a minimum, helped by disliking the vapor3 and not wanting to but "old" boots, and still sticking to my new-found religion of Nike (tho I do love the absolutes.....)
So I hadn't spent much on soccer cleats, and in truth my trainer spending had been sensible. But then the Jordan 3's dropped in my clubs colors, and I assumed I could use my US military connex to get them super fast and cheap...
Only things don't work out sooo easy, and I couldn't get them shipped on a steal. So I left it, figuring my cheapskate nature would figure something out. And I left it. Then I thought I could get sum1 to abuse footlocker's "shoe finder" and get them posted to my house, only footlocker had removed the particular shoe from the program, and were allegedly sold out of it europe-wide...strange as it was a general release but what do I know...
So then I see that the "Old love/new love" package dropped this weekend, and whilst I don't even like J1's, it's remarkable value, 2 pairs of collectors shoes for £130, and mebe, just mebe, if I could get to laaandun, mebe I could chance accross a pair of fire red 3's if I trauled around every store in the capital....
So off I trot, grab a train, head south. The emirates is still admittedly impressive, as loathed as I am to do so....Tube it to Oxford circus, straight outside NikeTown, straight into the BBall section, and dude remembered me from 6 months back when I copped my 3M 5's, perhaps an old white man in a du-rag is strange even for laaandun...
He's like "yo, u wot the BMP?" and gets me the collectors box in my size....
and thats when I knew I was in trouble...

BMP or Old Love New Love, £130 for shoes I don't even like.....

Wait, Fire Reds in my size!!! COP...

Could be that I used to play basketball when I was younger but I really never cared about my shoes and thats the thing Jordans are so expensive and well I trash a lot of my shoes if I get a ball to play footy in if I see one! Sorry for interrupting your flow!
