Manchester City's Eyal Berkovic is considering a move to Portsmouth where he would link up with his former boss Harry Redknapp.

The Israeli international played under Redknapp during his two year spell at West Ham. The move has been prompted by the player's disappointment at not being offered an extension to the two years he has left at Manchester City.

Redknapp has expressed an interest in signing Berkovic but he's unsure as to whether Pompey can afford his wages. Nevertheless, Pompey intend to srenghten their squad over the Summer.
