If Americans and Fire Fans come out they will not be overwhelmed.
But methinks if history is any indicator of future trends if (or once) a lot of Mexican fans come to support Blanco and the Fire many racist Fire fans will quite showing up. Which is what I hope for.

If you're hoping that the racist/xenophobic Fire fans don't show up, fine, I'm with you there. But, I think by saying "many racist Fire fans" you're wrong. This board represents a VERY small part of the Fire's fan base.
Personally, I hope all the Fire fans that go to games continue to go to games so that they can see what kind of effect a vibrant atmosphere can add to a game (both on the field and for their own enjoyment).
(I'm not saying Section 8 does not bring a vibrant atmosphere, but games that attract a non-traditional Fire fan base often times have a pulsating atmosphere that MLS games lack.)

One quick point, in international play I can understand being overwhelmed by another nationality, but Fire VS. Revs?
As for the racist fans not going, well alot more than racists will quit going.
It's not about racism it's about being OVERWHELMED.
Are you familiar with Chicago's infamous "blockbusting'' on the south and west sides during the 50's and 60's? In which they would move in a black family on the cheap to drive down market value and force the whites to sell by telling them that soon the neighborhood would be over-run with them. Then they would charge future black families twice what the house was worth at an inordiante interest rate.
Now the whites had a choice, they didn't have to sell, they could have stayed but it was the fear of being a minority that ultimately led to the famed "white-flight" to the suburbs and so-on. This of course is not unique to Chicago but it is relevant to the fact that if people feel that the rug has swept from under them and are now forced with the option of assimilation or retreat, it is human nature to retreat.
I'm not sure where you are from or what nationality you are, but if you are as I assume white, I'm sure that there are many places within the city that I'm sure you would not frequent, do you go out for dinner on 71st & Racine? How about filling your car up at 87th & Ashland? Ever catch a movie on 95th & Harvard? Do you do some shopping on 63rd & Halsted? if your answer is no ( which I assume it is ) should I conclude from that that you may be a racist? Because after all we should all be comfortable around one another right? No need to feel OVERWHELMED.

Can you please define overwhelmed.
I don't know what you mean by this. Do you mean being a minority? If so, by your definition Blacks wouldn't come to Fire games because they would be overwhelmed by white people.
Or old people wouldn't come because they would be overwhelmed by AYSO kids.
(At least on AYSO night). Actually I feel a bit overwhelmed on those games.

For your information, I am an olive skinned Adonis (Adrian Adonis that is). Why did you choose those areas? I don't get the point you are trying to portray. Please elaborate.
I am very comfortable with everyone, except racists. I try to avoid them.

I admit it. I don't hide it behind paragraph after paragraph of racist rationalization bullshit. We get the point. You are afraid of non-whites, and want a big "Whites Preferred" sign above the gates of TP. Pues, adios menso.

I don't even know why you are in this discussion since you obviously have a bias opinion and can't be objective. You said I have paragraphs of racist rationalization......That's funny......What about when I said I would hate to see the Fire cater to Italalins, what was I then?......Self loathing?
For me to want to see inclusion for all races and not just one specifically, I think that would make me the opposite of racist.......I think the racism is down in (Guadalawhatever) only allwoing mexicans to play on the team.
