Default 2 computer questions.

question one

in internet explorer 6.0 i try and see the "source" of a web page but it won't let me on any web page what-so-ever. i have checked my "internet options" and have the editor set as notepad. anyone have any suggestions? the little "editor icon" in the toolbar is ghosted as well and i cannot click on it, so i don't know what the deal is.

question two

when i save images from the internet i am only given one option in saving the image, that being a BMP. i don't wanna save the image as a BMP but it is the only option in the pulldown menu and this is even true when the original image on the web is a JPG or GIF file. any thoughts?

Interesting. Try first deleting your temporary internet files, and then if that doesn't fix it, try rebooting. Apparently this is a bug in IE6, tho I've never seen it. Another possible solution I've seen is to export your cookies (File:Import/Export) to another directory, and then import them back in.

Of course, don't forget to check for fixes on Windows Update.

Apparently this problem can also be caused by a full cache. (I've experienced this one myself, but it seemed to be intermittent.) Clean your temporary internet files...
